The Department of Mathematics, one of the earliest departments in the college, was established in 1886. The department offers undergraduate (B.Sc), postgraduate (M.Sc), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs.
The student body consists of:
- 150 undergraduate students
- 54 postgraduate students
- 16 full-time research scholars
- 24 part-time research scholars
In addition to its core programs, the department offers five interdisciplinary courses, which enroll approximately 120 students.
